If this wasn't enough, Alabama wasn't the only SEC team to benefit from questionable SEC calls. Then of course there was Dez Bryant, Oregon State Universitys standout wide receiver being suspended for the remainder of the season for lying to NCAA investigators about events which hardly merited such a suspension. That bowl match-up was predictable (even though I do not see Texas coming anywhere close to beating Alabama), but TCU vs Boise Are you &^$$ kidding me! Maybe the Fiesta Bowl will be as good as the previous Fiesta Bowl that featured Boise state, which would be very entertaining, but it may not be what college football fans want to see TCU has dominated every team its played this year. Boise State has also, again, showed they are in a class above the rest of their conference, but who knows where they rank among the college football elite. The BCS has taken the opportunity out of the hands of TCU and Boise State to prove they deserve to be where they are. Ive had enough The BCS will not change as long as everyone keeps watching. Yes, as fans we whine about the BCS year after year, but we continue to watch the games and until that changes, the BCS will not Sorry BCS, but this year you wont be getting my ratings. Yeah, thats probably only .00000000001 of the total viewers who tune into BCS bowl games, but hey at least I can say I tried.

Who knows, maybe the one person who reads this will turn that into .00000000002. . Spain turned in a fantastic performance to successfully defend their Davis Cup title in Barcelona at the hands of the Czech Republic. World Number 2 Rafael Nadal played some very aggressive tennis as he swept past Tomas Berdcyh 7-5 6-0 6-2 to put Spain 1-0 up in the tie. Fernando Verdasco and Felianciano Lopez then teamed up to win the doubles to seal the Cup for Spain, the home side also won the 2 dead rubbers as they completed a 5-0 whitewash.

Nadal won theAustralian Open at the start of the year but he has since been hampered by injury, however he will be hoping that this triumph will spur him on to greater things in 2010. If you are a Betting person then you would do well to back Spain to beat Switzerland in the 1st round next year.. The way the pundits, the "experts," were talking all week, the Minnesota Vikings could just mail this one in.Sure, once the Cardinals/Vikings game was flexed as the week’s marquee game, the obvious Favre vs Warner hype became inevitable. But the talk of this actually being a hard-fought battle between two NFC powerhouses never appeared (unless you happened to read it here) There was an air of inevitability at play here, too. The Warner/Favre show was a great story line, but the Cardinals, fresh off a crushing road loss with 0:00 on the clock in Tennessee, and a measly 2-3 at home, were just another bump in the Vikings' road to the NFC Championship game. This game, beyond the quarterbacks, never got the respect it deserved in the press. It was ‘all about’ Brett Favre and Kurt Warner, and the fact that it was the NFC Champions vs the red hot, 10-1 team trying to dethrone them, never caught fire.
