Despite tradition of the champion's name being on top and being on the left side as seen in their most recent fight, Pacquiao's name appeared on top and he appeared on the left champion's side. Was it because the WBO is not as traditional as the WBC Or was it because Manny's super star diva status kicked in On Nov. 4, 2006 WBC welterweight champion and fighter of the year Carlos Baldomir defended his title against the No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter at the time Floyd Mayweather Jr.Despite Carlos being the WBC champion his name appeared under Floyd's and he appeared on the right side and about 25 percent the size of Floyd's image on the fight poster and to add insult to injury the fight was titled: PRETTY RISKY a fight name that mentions Floyd's moniker but nothing that mentions Baldomir's moniker: "Tata".
Tata in Spanish translates to Daddy. Is the word risky another word for daddy Well, maybe if your dad's got boundary issues. Here is a clear example of the super star diva taking over again. The theory that the WBC is more traditional does not hold up in this case. Sorry guys I do not have fancy photo shop skills my friends so I will not even attempt to come up with a groovy masterpiece for you. But we can always do a 3-D image that has both Floyd's and Manny's face in the center morphing into each other looking at you with both their names morphing into each other as well. It would be the firstfight poster to have such a groovy original concept.
