The Cubs had a big problem in 2009 at 2nd base

That dynasty is now being challenged by the Alabama Crimson Tide.Last night I overheard a Florida fan say, "We may just have to get used to this."That, my friends, says it all. . Oddly EnoughThe Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said it had arrested Chief Egbe Akparakwu, 41, after discovering he had been pretending to be one of its agents and charging people for registering anti-corruption complaints."He was receiving petitions from people, with a fee," EFCC spokesman Femi Babafemi said.Corruption is endemic in Nigeria, from traffic policemen asking for bribes at checkpoints to multi-million-dollar cases involving politicians.Last month another fake EFCC official was arrested for trying to extort 10 million naira ($75,000) from the governor of the oil-producing state of Bayelsa. Some Nigerians joke that you only know you have made it to the "major league" of the wealthy and powerful once you are the subject of an EFCC investigation.(Reporting by Nick Tattersall; editing by Andrew Roche) Oddly Enough. He also did a decent job as a kick returner again, particularly on a change-of-direction return in the 4th quarter that set the team up outside the 40 yard line.Offensive Line: Washington’s correctly much-maligned offensive line didn’t allow a single sack of Jason Campbell and did a decent job providing space for Rock Cartwright and Quinton Ganther. The Redskins didn’t run for many yards, but that’s mostly because they didn’t call a lot of rushing plays. RG Mike Williams had his best game of the season, as did RT Stephon Heyer.

The offensive line stayed away from penalties the whole team did, really and did everything it had to do and more to enable Washington to win. The fact that the Redskins managed to lose this game does not reflect poorly on an offensive line that was simply fantastic.Read it all Community Bank System Announces 2008 Fourth Quarter and Year End EarningsConference CallSYRACUSE, N.Y., Jan. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ Community Bank System, Inc.(NYSE: CBU) invites you to participate in a conference call to discuss theCompany's financial and operating performance during its fourth quarter andfiscal year ended December 31, 2008.What: Community Bank System's 2008 Fourth Quarter and Year EndEarnings Conference CallWhen: Friday, January 23rd, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern TimeWhere: http:// over the Internet at the address above, or by dialingthe number belowDial-In:1-866-761-8674The call is expected to last approximately 30 minutes, with a presentationfollowed by questions and discussion.President & Chief Executive OfficerMark E. It was not a Happy New Years Eve for Mark DeRosa in 2008 as he found out the Cubs traded him to the Cleveland Indians.

This move made a lot of Cubs fans upset. The Cubs had a big problem in 2009 at 2nd base. We all thought Mike Fontenot would beat out Aaron Miles for the starting job, which he did, but it turned out that Fontenot was somewhat of a bust. Milesplayed horrible all year so he didn't do the Cubs any good either. On July 2nd the Cubs got Jeff Baker from the Colorado Rockies to take care of the problem at 2nd For the most part he did a pretty good job He batted .305 for the Cubs in 2009 in just 69 games The problem is, is he has never a played a full season. He is expected to be the everyday starter for the Cubs in 2010. In 2008 he batted .268 in 104 games, which is the most games he has played in a season during his career. Mark DeRosa, on the other hand, batted .285 in 149 games for the Cubs in 08.Mark DeRosadoesn't just hit better than Baker but he can run better.
